“Black Jack” Monte Carlo

About This Project

Our recent fit out of the Monte Carlo MC6 known as “Black Jack” took this new vessel to a whole new level. The owner wished to achieve more comfort with luxury additions and also improve the appearance and function of the vessel. Our team at Ocean Phase was happy to come up with a custom fit-out to enhance the boat. 

As an additional entertainment feature we added custom black satellite domes which allow the owner to watch his favorite sport up the river as well as adding a complete look and feel to the vessel thanks to a custom paint job. 

At Ocean Phase we also believe that batteries are the heart of the ship and this vessel was in need for an upgrade! The boat’s original batteries were lead acid wet cell batteries, which started failing with age. They also started releasing gas under charge, presenting a risk for the house bank in the engine room. 

By changing the battery type and layout we were able to change to AGM batteries and increase the capacity from 420 to 560AH at 24VDC as well as removing the risk of heat and possible explosion from the engine room. The vessel’s battery chargers were also changed to accept an AGM charge rate and a Victron smart protect battery cut out was fitted to prevent 100% discharge and damage to the batteries.
